New and Improved Autoresponders

24/11/2014

An autoresponder is an email or SMS that is triggered in response to a customer’s action, such as a ‘welcome email’ in response to a newsletter sign up. Autoresponders are often under used especially considering they can receive a higher response rate than regular emails.

WHY USE AUTORESPONDERS?
  • Generally receive a higher response rate than regular emails
  • They're great at engaging your audience at the right time
  • Saves you countless hours on manual tasks

We've also created popular pre-built autoresponders which are now available in your account. They're super easy to customise and you can find them under the new automation tab.

If you already use autoresponders and advanced campaigns don't worry they'll all still work. But they've moved to a new home you can find them both now under the automation tab.

12/2/2014

New Feature: Easily create mobile friendly Emails

We’re excited to announce that you can now easily create responsive emails that are mobile friendly in EzyMsg. Just look for the new mobile icon when creating a new template within EzyMsg.
We all know mobiles are here to stay and usage has been growing rapidly over the past 12 months - in fact for some clients up to 47% of emails are now opened on a mobile device (Litmus).

With our recent reporting upgrade showing mobile and desktop opens we’ve had lots of customers ask us whether it’s best to design emails for mobile or desktop.

But we believe that it’s not something you should need to worry about. Ideally every email you create should look good on any size screen. So we’ve updated our template editor to provide a really simple way for you to do exactly that.

You can now easily create responsive emails that are mobile friendly in EzyMsg.

This means your emails will look great on any screen size, whether it be desktop, tablet or a mobile device. So it’s a better reading experience for your subscribers across all devices.

Simply look out for the mobile icon when creating a new email from selected templates.
Picture
The best thing is, you don’t need to do anything differently when editing your email templates as the responsive magic automatically takes place behind the scenes. Plus you can easily preview the email on different screen sizes before you send.

Wondering what you can do with responsive emails?

Well the following will all happen automatically, depending on the size of the screen your email is viewed on:
  • Width of email will gracefully fit to the device
  • Larger images will be resized
  • Components will be stacked for easy scrolling
  • Logos and text in the header component will be centred

For now, the mobile friendly templates are only available for new templates that you create. But we’re working on a handy new tool that will allow you to convert your existing drag and drop emails to become responsive, so that you won’t need to recreate them.

Design great looking emails with borders

Picture
You asked for it and here it is. You can now easily add borders around your whole email and customise them to suit its style. We've done it to this email and you can do it to yours. To start using this feature login to your account and go to the Advanced Tab when building your next email.

See when someone last opened or clicked an email

Picture
You can now easily see the last time someone opened an email by viewing their contact details. To see for yourself, login and go to Contacts, click on the Table Settings icon and you’ll see a new field called "Date of Last Open". This field can be used to do things like re-send emails, send follow up emails or remove contacts from your list who have not opened your emails.

We’ve also added a new field for "Date of Last Click" so you can now measure how engaged people are.

Working with your contacts made easier

Picture
Many of you will agree that working with large amounts of data can be a challenge. So we’ve made it a little easier with some of our new contact browsing features.

You will now be able to:
  • View your contacts contained nicely within your browser.
  • Scroll within your data only, rather than the whole page.
  • 'Select all' within your contacts so that bulk actions like unsubscribing a group of contacts is much quicker.
  • Easily reorder list columns with a simple drag and drop.

Picture
NEW Spreadsheet View:
  • Edit multiple contacts on the same screen.
  • Easily copy and paste data across fields.
  • Drag and fill fields just like in excel.
  • Add contacts to your list by adding a row.

Grow your email list with Facebook!

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3
  1. Make sure that your company has a Facebook page (check out ours).
  2. Set up a subscribe, competition or other web form.
  3. Select the "Add form to Facebook" link.
We have also created a special colour palette so that your web form doesn’t look out of place when added to Facebook.
