You wouldn't want to send your campaign out with embarrassing typos, or an Email that looks bad and falls apart on certain Email clients would you?
Once you get a Template that works and have sent it a couple of times, the time taken for testing goes down significantly with each future send. But for your first few sends, make sure you allow plenty of time for testing.
Here's a few things you should test before you send out your campaign:
- How does your Email look with Images off? Most Email clients have images turned off by default, Test to see how your Email looks with the images blocked.
- Test across multiple Email Clients: Make sure to send to as many different Email clients as possible, the main ones to test are Iphone, Outlook, Ipad and Android
- Test how your Email looks on Mobile Devices: With up to 47% of Email opens being on a Mobile Device, testing on Mobile devices is now even more Important.
- Test all Links, Wildcards and conditional content: if you have personalisation or conditional content within your Email try send your test to a couple of different dummy contacts you have set up.
Remember, you can never test too much, and if you include testing into each of your Email campaigns, the more testing you do the easier and quicker the process will become.
